Gentle brown sugar from Ashikita, Kumamoto. Sugarcane is grown in Kumamoto Prefecture and turned into brown sugar.

It goes well with Japanese sweets such as shiratama dango, anmitsu, and mochi, but it is also delicious when poured over Western sweets such as pancakes and puddings.
