It's important to be prepared with disaster prevention supplies.

Earthquakes have been occurring frequently recently. Are you fully prepared for a disaster?
When it comes to disaster preparedness, emergency food is probably one of the most popular topics.

Recently, the number of types of emergency food with long shelf lives has increased, making it easier to prepare.
Many people practice "rolling stocks" by keeping a little extra food on hand as emergency food and then buying more as they use it, so that they always have a certain amount of food stored in their homes.

At Roots Purely, we do not use any additives such as preservatives or antioxidants in our food products, and we suggest that you store our "processed products" made from raw rice and vegetables that are naturally and organically grown, as emergency food.

The "Emergency Food Set" we are introducing this time is all Purely Original. It is made up of products and dried foods that are additive-free and can be stored for a long time thanks to retort processing.
All ingredients are "naturally and organically grown vegetables and rice." In addition, we only use natural fermentation bacteria and additive-free seasonings.

This assortment of eight different products includes "mixed beans" and "dried vegetables" that can be eaten as is in case of an emergency, as well as "pre-packaged rice" and "potage soup" that can be turned into a hot meal with just hot water.
Not only can you enjoy it as a delicious daily meal, but why not keep a certain amount in your rolling stock of food?

▼ Instant rice
We have made "retort rice" from Kyushu-grown rice, which is naturally grown without fertilizer or pesticides, so that it can be stored for a long time. Retort rice can be prepared quickly and easily, and is not only convenient when you are busy, but also a basic emergency food stockpile. The taste and texture of the rice is just as delicious as home-cooked rice.

Manufacturing and processing are outsourced to Kojima Foods, which was founded in 1948. They use a special method that brings out the natural sweetness and flavor of the ingredients, and each package is hand-packed. They use "seven-tenths milled rice" because it retains a moderate amount of nutritional value and allows you to enjoy the flavor of the rice the most. Just making it into salt nigiri is really delicious, so please give it a try.

▼Mixed beans
Kyushu-grown, naturally grown beans and barley are soaked overnight, then heated in a retort pouch to lock in the nutrients. No seasoning is added so that you can enjoy the flavor of the ingredients. Enjoy the natural sweetness and texture of the barley.
Soybeans and glutinous barley are rich in protein and dietary fiber, which are often lacking, and are foods you'll want to incorporate into your busy daily life. Most of the beans and wheat currently available in Japan are imported from overseas, so it's very rare to find domestically grown, naturally grown without the use of pesticides or fertilizers. Cooking beans and glutinous barley can be a little difficult, but by making them available in retort packs, you can quickly incorporate them into your diet.

▼Dried Vegetables Carrots and Dried Vegetables Burdock
Purely's [Dried Veggie] is made by slowly drying the naturally grown ingredients from Kyushu at low temperatures using the "Air Drying Method." This method results in a texture that is close to raw when rehydrated.
Generally, the skin is removed to improve the appearance of the product, but we process the product leaving the skin, which is highly nutritious, on, so there is no need to worry about pesticides. We also do not add glucose, so the original aroma and flavor of the ingredients are preserved.

The burdock used here is naturally grown by Tatsuro Kunibe in Tano City, Miyazaki Prefecture. This burdock is the fruit of 11 years of hard work, cultivating soil and harvesting seeds.
The carrots used are naturally grown by Tomita Chikayoshi in Kikuchi city, Hyogo prefecture, and Ueno Masuhisa in Kikuyo town, Kumamoto prefecture.

Basically, soaking it in boiling water for 5 to 7 minutes will bring back a fresh texture, but you can also eat it straight away by adding it to miso soup without soaking it in water.
Food during disasters tends to be bland, but you can easily prepare soup.

▼ Roasted seaweed "Hana" from Izumi
The Susabi variety is a common cultivated variety. It is the first harvest of the year and is of the highest quality, with a beautiful color, a rich fragrance, and an excellent melt-in-the-mouth texture.
The fishing grounds in Izumi City, Kagoshima Prefecture, where the seaweed is produced, do not use the acid treatment that has become common in modern seaweed farming. The producers in Izumi City are committed to "not using anything that pollutes the sea and growing it in an environment close to nature," and they continue to make seaweed using the traditional "acid-free treatment and drying method."

▼Sweet potato potage/Pumpkin potage
The umami is the natural flavor of the vegetables. This potage soup is made with only sun-dried salt as a seasoning, while carefully preserving the flavor of the ingredients. The vegetables are carefully peeled, blended in a blender, and strained to give it a smooth texture.
You can easily enjoy potage soup, which is a time-consuming and labor-intensive process. You can enjoy it either hot or cold.

The sweet potatoes used are grown naturally by Mr. Koike without the use of pesticides or fertilizers. He grows them using seed potatoes from a variety called "Beni Haruka," which gives the potage a deeper flavor.
The pumpkins used are organic pumpkins from Mr. Sawamura in Uki City, Kumamoto Prefecture. He produces a wide variety of pumpkins on a large scale with the desire to make vegetables that are easy to eat as safe as possible for everyone, from children to the elderly.

▼Naturally grown barley tea
Purely's original Kyushu-grown naturally grown barley tea is made from naturally grown two-row barley by Matsumoto Kazuhiro in Asakura city, Fukuoka prefecture.
The roasting and processing was done by Marubishi Co., Ltd., which has a factory in Okayama Prefecture. The barley tea roasted by Marubishi, which has been inspected by an organic registration certification organization and is rated as an organic certified factory that meets the standards of the JAS Organic Standards, has a rich aroma and a clean taste with little bitterness.

It is caffeine-free and safe for small children and pregnant women to consume. You can boil it in boiling water or you can brew it in cold water, so you can enjoy it easily even in the event of a disaster.
