Purely delivers safe and secure free-range, naturally fertilized eggs from Kumamoto Prefecture. We explain our standards to each and every producer, and all of our eggs come from producers who raise their chickens with even higher standards.

Currently, most of the eggs sold in supermarkets and other stores are unfertilized eggs from crowded broiler chickens (a breed of chicken artificially bred for the purpose of rapid growth in a short period of time; a general term for hybrid chickens raised in large quantities solely for meat).

The eggs delivered by Purely meet all of the following standards.

①The feed is non-GMO and made from our own carefully mixed feed

Basically, we feed our animals homemade vegetable scraps, naturally grown rice bran, and our own carefully mixed feed. Even when we buy feed, we only feed them non-GMO feed that has been confirmed to be safe and secure.
Currently, most of the feed given to chickens in general poultry farming is genetically modified feed imported cheaply from overseas. We believe that eggs from chickens that have been fed artificially and excessively genetically modified feed will have some kind of medium- to long-term effect on the human body. For this reason, we ask producers to feed their chickens as much as possible vegetable and grain waste produced by themselves or their neighbors, and rice bran and rice waste from naturally grown rice provided by Purely.
When feeding our animals purchased feed, we only feed them food that has been confirmed to be non-GMO, safe and secure.

②Free-range chickens raised in a spacious chicken coop

Broilers are often reared in inhumane ways, in small cages where they cannot move and are forced to lay eggs 24 hours a day like a machine. This makes them susceptible to stress and viruses, and they are given excessive antibiotics to prevent these diseases.
Are eggs produced in such an environment really tasty and healthy?
The chickens from the producers we deal with are raised in spacious chicken coops, where they can grow up stress-free. From the time they are chicks, they are raised with lots of love and affection, and have a very calm look on their face.

3. We do not administer any antibiotics, hormones, or other drugs.

In conventional poultry farming, antibiotics are added to the feed to prevent disease and hormones are administered to promote production.
They may even add food colourings to make the yolks yellower and more appealing.
Recently, in order to claim functionality ("We are feeding our animals feed containing vitamin E, so yeah!!"), vitamin supplements of questionable safety are sometimes added to the feed.
The chickens that produce the eggs sold by Purely are not given any antibiotics, medicines, or hormones. They are raised stress-free in spacious chicken coops, fed healthy food, so they don't need any of that in the first place.

④ Only naturally fertilized eggs are used to create life

All eggs sold by Purely meet the standards for naturally fertilized eggs. Please enjoy these precious fertilized eggs, which have the power to weave life and were laid in nature, with peace of mind.
*General standard for fertilized eggs: "Eggs laid in an environment that allows natural mating, such as free-range or cage-free, with a ratio of 5 or more roosters for every 100 hens."
*Most of the eggs are fertilized, but occasionally the chickens will lay unfertilized eggs. Therefore, we only state that they "meet the standards for fertilized eggs." Free-range, naturally fertilized eggs that are fed special feed have a pale yellow yolk. This is proof that they are eggs from chickens raised in a natural environment. The taste is so delicious that it will move you. Eggs are collected according to the chickens' natural timing, so there are only a limited number of these precious eggs. Please note that there is a limited quantity.
