Kume Mozuku has been producing mozuku for about 50 years since its grandfather's time on Miyagi Island, a remote island that can be reached by car from the main island of Okinawa.

Miyagi Island, where the salt is produced, is famous for its "Nuchimazu" (also known as the salt of life), which has been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as having the world's highest content of 21 types of minerals.
This is our proud "mozuku" seaweed, grown in the same waters.
Mozuku has a crunchy texture and a chewy texture, is low in calories, and is rich in minerals and dietary fiber!

[How to remove salt]
Wash repeatedly under running water.
If you are concerned about the salt content, soak it in water for about 10 minutes.
*There may be some shrimp or other seaweed mixed in.
This does not affect the quality, so simply rinse with water.
Once desalted, store in the refrigerator and consume within 3 days.
