The Higo Yamato Association aims to deliver safe, secure, and delicious agricultural products made with the passion of Yamato Town's producers to many consumers, and to engage in attractive communication activities that connect consumers and producers.

Yamato Town is located on the side of the outer rim of Mount Aso in Kumamoto, and is at an altitude of around 500m, meaning that the temperature difference is extreme and tasty vegetables grow in this area. Many producers have been practicing organic farming in this area for over 30 years, and it is said to be the birthplace of organic farming. The fertile fields, which have been using high-quality organic compost without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides for many years, produce tasty crops.
