We have a limited quantity of naturally grown winter melon in stock!
In fact, winter melon is in season during the summer.
It is said that the kanji for "winter melon" come from the fact that if stored in a cool, dark place, it will last until winter.
They come in a variety of shapes, including round, cylindrical, and oval, are 95% water, and are low in calories.
We received this from Tadashi Nagaoka, who grows it in Tamana County, Kumamoto Prefecture.
The winter melons they are so proud of have been harvested from seeds for over 10 years.
The fruit is packed tightly and is very tasty.
Its cool appearance and refreshing taste make it a perfect match for any dish!!!
Great for simmered dishes, soups, and boiled dishes! We only have a limited quantity, so please give it a try.
