Rain and melting snow that falls from the aboveground water source, which is covered with broad-leaved beech and oak trees, is purified through the natural layer of fallen leaves and is further naturally filtered over many years by the limestone layers. This water, containing natural minerals, springs out into Ryusen Cave.
