Delicious raw [naturally grown] Fukurenki Tofu's Purely Original "Okara" online sales start on the afternoon of January 26th!

Last fall, we were forged with the wonderful connection of Fukuregi Tofu, a company that makes tofu using Fukuregi's famous water, the natural seawater nigari of Amakusa. Our desire to leave authentic tofu for our children resonated with them, and they have agreed to make Purely's original tofu using naturally grown soybeans from Kyushu!

Tofu is said to be a work of art in food culture, and the maker of this tofu is Koji Matsumoto, the representative of Fukurengi Tofu. The company was founded in 1997, and he took over from his father and began making tofu 12 years ago.

Fukurenki, located in Amakusa Town, Amakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture, is the largest oak tree village in Japan. Its virgin forest is carefully protected by local residents and is home to Fukurenkikanzan Water, one of the 100 famous waters of Kumamoto.
The first time they made tofu using the naturally grown soybeans we provided,
“I’ve been making tofu for 12 years now, and the smell of the soybeans is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before.

"The finished tofu tasted like something I'd never tasted before," said Matsumoto, who was honestly surprised at how different it was. "Only umami, only nature, only love," he wrote on his Instagram, "It's like a miracle of soybeans."

In addition, we developed the products based on the feedback from customers who tried the sample products, and finally, at the end of December 2023, ``Purely Original Fukurengi's Yosed Tofu'' and ``Okara'' were on store shelves.

Only the "okara" is delivered frozen to maintain quality when purchased online, but Matsumoto says that okara is a Japanese superfood, rich in protein, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, B vitamins, vitamin E, and more, and is especially high in dietary fiber!

It is also ideal for dieting because it is low in calories and fat. Try it in raw salads, donuts, hamburgers, cookies, miso soup, and more!
