[Dried Vegetables Burdock]

The long-awaited "Dried Veggie" made from naturally grown burdock root by Tatsuro Kunibe from Miyazaki Prefecture has arrived. Burdock root is one of the vegetables that you should actively consume for the sake of your beauty and health.

However, it is true that burdock in particular requires a lot of work, as you have to wash off the mud, scrape off the skin, soak it in water to remove the bitterness, cut it with a knife, etc.

Therefore, we deliver dried veggies made by cutting burdock root at its most delicious season just enough to use, with all the nutrients locked in. It will definitely be a great help to your cooking! No hassle, no waste, time-saving cooking, plenty of nutrients and dietary fiber, and the taste and texture of your cooking will be improved.

It is lightweight, easy to carry, and easy to store, so it is a good idea to stock up on it as a disaster preparedness item or to use as a dish in emergencies.

When cooking, if you are making soup, you can simply add the mushrooms as is without soaking them in water.

Basically, soaking it in boiling water for 5 to 7 minutes will bring back a fresh-like texture.

Then drain the water and use it in cooking, such as making burdock tempura or a stew with beef.

■ Attention to ingredients

We use naturally grown burdock from Tatsuro Kunibe in Tano City, Miyazaki Prefecture.

Burdock has roots that grow deep underground, so it is a crop that clearly reflects the condition of the soil in the field.

If the soil is hard, it will bend, and if the soil is dirty, it will have a strong bitter taste.

The burdock that Kunibe harvested was grown in a field that has been cultivated naturally for 11 years.

It is a fine burdock with little bitterness and not hard even when it grows thick. Mr. Kunibe's family originally grew burdock in a conventional manner, but switched to organic farming in 2007 when Mr. Kunibe started farming.

However, as insects and diseases began to appear during cultivation, it felt unnatural, so in 2011 we switched to natural cultivation, which is still the method we use today.

When burdock was first shipped, it was incredibly hard and unlike the burdock we have today.

This year's burdock is the result of 11 years of soil preparation and seed collection.

Kunibe's burdock, which is the culmination of his hard work, can be dried so that you can enjoy it for a while longer.

■ Commitment to manufacturing methods

The ingredients, which are naturally grown in Kyushu, are slowly dried at low temperatures using the "Air Drying Method", so when rehydrated they have a texture almost like fresh food.

Usually, the skin is removed to improve the product's appearance, but in order to avoid concerns about pesticides, we process the product while leaving on the nutritious skin.

In addition, no glucose is added, preserving the original aroma and flavor of burdock.

Precautions for use

■Since it is made without boiling and contains no added glucose, it is prone to breaking. Please do not place heavy objects on top of it.

"Dried Vegetables Burdock and Carrots" mixed with carrots is also on sale at the same time! Carrots, which go well with burdock, are also processed in the same way, and can be used to make side dishes such as kinpira. Please be sure to buy this too!
