The raw materials used are carrots from Chikayoshi Tomita of Kikuchi City, Kumamoto Prefecture, and Masuhisa Ueno of Kikuyo Town, Kumamoto Prefecture.

Tomita Chikayoshi was inspired by the teachings of Okada Mokichi, the founder of natural farming, and has been growing rice without fertilizer or pesticides for the past 40 years. His daughter Saki and son Kazutaka are also working on natural farming as their successors in the field and rice farming.

Masuhisa Ueno started farming in 2011 and is now an indispensable natural farmer for Purely. He met Purely when he first started farming and has been farming exclusively with natural farming from the beginning.

The ingredients are grown naturally in Kyushu and slowly dried at low temperatures using the "Air Drying Method," so that when rehydrated, they have a texture close to that of raw carrots.
