The Amakusa Daio Chicken Company, which sells our chickens, has been producing them without using any genetically modified feed or administering antibiotics.
The baby chickens we put in in January developed E. coli.
We are very sorry to make this decision, but as affected chickens will be administered medication, they will not be available for sale.
Kimimoto, who normally doesn't administer drugs and respects raising chickens in a way that is appropriate for them, made the difficult decision with the chickens' best interests in mind.
As a result, there will be a temporary shortage from May to June until other chickens become available for shipment.
