We have just received naturally grown pumpkins from Watanabe Akito . These chestnut pumpkins become soft and fluffy when heated.
It can be stored for three to five months, and during that time the pumpkin will ripen and become more delicious.
Watanabe Akito has been farming for generations in the Kikuchi area of northern Kumamoto Prefecture, near the Kikuchi Valley, which is one of Japan's 100 famous waters.

Taking advantage of the cool climate of the mountains, they also grow shiitake mushrooms, tea, rice, and field crops.
The fields where the crops are grown are created by clearing mountains and then growing the crops without the use of pesticides or fertilizers.
