Since boiling tea is too hot, I think many people use tea bags to make tea in water. It's convenient and the color is nice by the next morning, so it's very convenient.
For those who haven't tried it yet, I recommend the traditional way of drinking it: boiling whole barley tea!
Barley tea brews and bubbles, surrounded by the nostalgic aroma of the past.
In the case of tea bag type, the barley in the bag is crushed after roasting so that it can be extracted quickly even with water, which results in a slightly powdery texture. On the other hand, the whole grain type is less likely to have bitterness or unpleasant flavors, so it has a clean, clear taste, and when boiled, it has a strong flavor. You can brew a higher-grade barley tea.
The barley is grown naturally in Kyushu and processed in an organic JAS certified factory, so it is safe for mothers and small children to drink. Drinking barley tea while it is still warm will help relieve the fatigue of childcare, and it is caffeine-free, so it is OK for pregnant and breastfeeding women! It won't disturb your sleep at night, so you can take a relaxing break with tea♪
We hope you will enjoy drinking this barley tea all year round, not just in the summer, but as an accompaniment to meals and sports.
And be sure to give round-grain barley tea a try this season!

The barley used is naturally grown two-row barley from Matsumoto Kazuhiro in Fukuoka Prefecture.
The barley used for barley tea is naturally grown two-row barley by Matsumoto Kazuhiro in Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
Matsumoto's family has been farming for generations in Asakura City, located in the southeast of Fukuoka Prefecture.
After going through conventional and organic farming, they have been practicing natural farming since 2007.
He is also one of the field crop division leaders of the Kyushu Block of the National Natural Farming Promotion Association, and is actively involved in promoting natural farming.
Kazuhiro Matsumoto, a producer of naturally grown two-row barley.
Matsumoto's naturally grown Sasanishiki rice is extremely popular throughout the country.
The naturally grown Sasanishiki rice produced by Matsumoto is extremely popular nationwide, with a long waiting list of people waiting for cancellations.
Our naturally grown eggplants, peppers, and potatoes also have many fans.
Matsumoto's two-row barley is grown naturally, without the use of any fertilizers or pesticides during the cultivation period.
The precious naturally grown two-row barley is an extremely high-quality barley that exudes a rich barley aroma even before it is roasted.
Each grain was tightly packed with fruit and felt heavier than it looked.
The processing is done by Marubishi, a JAS organic certified factory.
We asked Marubishi Co., Ltd., which has a factory in Okayama Prefecture, to roast and process the barley tea.
Marubishi has been inspected by an organic registration certification agency and has been evaluated as an organic certified factory that meets the organic JAS standards.
About 40 staff members use roasting equipment and also work hard to make delicious, flavorful barley tea, one by one by hand.
Marubishi produces high-quality barley tea. Their processing plant is located in the middle of a peaceful rural landscape.
The most important aspect of the barley tea manufacturing process is the temperature control during roasting.
At Marubishi, the roasting level is adjusted using expert skill depending on the barley variety, season, amount, and condition.
The technique is called "Marubishi Four-Degree Roasting," and by slowly roasting the barley using far-infrared rays, we are able to produce barley tea with a rich aroma and a clean flavor with little bitterness.
It is caffeine-free and safe for small children and pregnant women.
This time, we have tea bag type and round grain type available.
For tea bag type, place one tea bag in approximately 1.5L of water and store in the refrigerator.
Delicious barley tea will be ready in about an hour.
Adjust the steeping time to get the strength you like.
Add 15g of barley tea to about 1L of boiling water and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let sit until it reaches your desired thickness and then enjoy.
Barley tea does not contain caffeine, so it is safe for small children and pregnant women.
Enjoy it not only in hot seasons but also as hot barley tea in cooler seasons.
