Purely's original naturally grown soybean flour is made using extremely precious naturally grown soybeans from Kyushu.

We use 100% naturally grown soybeans, which are carefully roasted and milled locally at the Yasutake Rice Mill in Kikuchi City, Kumamoto Prefecture.

The flour is milled at the Yasutake Rice Mill in Shisui-cho, Kikuchi City, Kumamoto Prefecture, a company that has been in business for 200 years and dates back to the Edo period.

They use an old-fashioned milling method that does not rely on electricity, using a waterwheel powered by the river's water flow. The current waterwheel was built in 1939 and is carefully maintained and used.

Yasutake Hozo, the fourth generation owner, carefully assesses the properties of the ingredients and mills them without compromise, based on his many years of experience.
