Naturally grown kale from Fukumoto, Kagoshima Prefecture

We have received some precious naturally grown kale.

Fukumoto's kale is the original species of cabbage and broccoli, and although it has a unique bitter taste, it is extremely nutritious and can be eaten raw in salads, and is often used as an ingredient in green juice, so it can also be used in smoothies.

Parboiling them makes them even more delicious!
Do not overcook, just add salt to boiling water and boil quickly for 1-2 minutes.

Of course you can use it in hot pots and pickles, but as it is grown without fertilizer or pesticides, you can also enjoy it safely in salads.

It goes great with oil! Try it with meat dishes too.

Fukumoto Farm, Minamisatsuma City, Kagoshima Prefecture

After working for an organic farming corporation, Fukumoto started farming in Minamisatsuma City, Kagoshima Prefecture in 2016.

From the first year onwards, turnips, taro, eggplant, spinach, radishes, etc. have been grown without fertiliser or pesticides.

From the very beginning, he has had the lofty aspiration that "anything other than pesticide-free agriculture is possible," and has been working on environmentally friendly agriculture.

Since learning about natural farming through his connection with Purely, he has been trying his hand at natural farming while also working on improving his soil.

Fukumoto's field had been abandoned for many years, but the land he cultivated was blessed with fertile black soil.

The field was soft and pleasant to touch, probably because there had been little fertilizer or pesticides used in the past.
