Fair trade is a system of fair and equal trade to create a just society free of poverty. Cities and towns that support fair trade on an urban level are called fair trade towns or cities. There are 2,200 fair trade cities in the world.

Kumamoto City, where our store is located, became the first city in Asia and the 1,000th fair trade city in the world in 2011, taking a serious stance on the various challenges facing the world and taking action.

Fair trade chocolate is made by purchasing raw materials such as cacao, sugar, and vanilla directly from producers at a fair price and continuing to trade with them, thereby helping to improve the lives of producers and working to solve the problem of poverty.

In addition, the chocolate is grown without the use of pesticides and is environmentally friendly, making it a "kind chocolate" for both those who make it and those who eat it.
